WELCOME SPINNERS!

SINCE 1992 every Romney & Romney-cross sheep in the SkyLines flock has been individually selected and lovingly cared for by a shepherdess who is also a handspinner. In the spring of each year, these pampered animals provide a wonderful array of soft, lustrous, natural-colored and white fleeces that are truly full of life and a joy to spin! UPDATE . . .
I've retired from sheep! (not retired from farming, just retired from sheep:) But the SkyLines tradition continues!
In fall 2013 the "best of the best" SkyLines breeding ewes and lambs were purchased by a wonderful family of shepherds who share my deep love for animals & sustainable agriculture AND my passion for producing exquisite wool fibers!

Stan & Jean Hayes and Eileen Napier of Ramstead Ranch have been studying my approach to sustainable sheep management for years, as they've developed their beautiful 120-acre grass-based ranch in northeast Washington state.

Same great fleece quality
I worked with the Ramstead team for several years after the sheep purchase to help them make a successful transition. I was at the ranch on shearing day 2014 and 2015 to personally evaluate every fleece and make sure it reflected the high quality and amazing cleanliness that spinners across the country have come to expect from SkyLines Farm fleeces. The Ramstead Ranch fleeces were just as superb as all 21 years of SkyLines Farm fleeces!

Viewing fleeces
Since 1992 the SkyLines flock has produced as many as 100 premium fleeces each year - all sold directly from this website to discriminating handspinners across the country. The fleeces below are a tiny sampling of fleeces from the happy, healthy SkyLines sheep that were purchased by Ramstead Ranch. To view all of the Ramstead Ranch fleeces, visit them at Ramstead Ranch.

Here's just a tiny sampling of the many many hundreds of gorgeous fleeces produced by SkyLines sheep over the years since 1992. These are all beautiful fleeces, in a range of colors from pure white to dark, dark grey (nearly black). All of these fleeces are so clean and VM-free that they're a dream to hand process!
